Cleaning natural stone surfaces with cleaning products is slightly more complicated than cleaning an average surface. There are two main types of natural stone used in homes, and each type requires specific cleaning supplies.

Use vinegar, lemon juice, or other cleaners containing acids on calcareous (marble, travertine, limestone, and onyx) surfaces.

Use vacuum cleaners on stone; the brush-roller can scratch and damage the floors.
